PROPERTIES : Potassium sodium tartarate is a colourless to blue white crystalline powdery salt . It is a derivative of tartaric acid . It is odorless and has a cooling saline taste . It is completely soluble in water and slightly soluble in alcohol . Its boiling point is 220 degree C and it begins to decompose itself between 75 – 80 degree C . It is efflorescent and non toxic in nature .

USES : In the food industry it applies itself as a buffering agent and an antioxidant.Its typical food product includes meat, cheese products , jams and margarine.Pharmaceuticaly,it is used as a bowel evacuant .It is used in the process of silvering mirror, printing glasses , fertilizers and electronics. It involves itself too, as a part of the ingredient ,which helps in determining the reducing sugar and protien concentration of a product .It is also used as an ingredients in compound effervescent powders. Lastly but not the least it also finds its usage in ignition sources, incompatibles , phonograph pickups and other sensing devices.
